Summer Maintenance Program
The Summer is your time to shine - it is showtime!
But - when was the last time you really reflected on your swing, or your progress, or performed an in season strength workout?
Often times players come out of the offseason ready to go. But because the high school season is bottled up with practices and games daily - players get thrown into the mix and often times abondon what got them there. Its simply the nature of the demanding spring schedule in Michigan - once the weather breaks it's go time - leaving little time for the details and regiments that got those players to where they are.
The Summer Maintenance Program is just what it sounds like - a way for players to get into the facility once or twice a week to spend some time back on the tee, rep some front toss, take some fungos and get back on track with an in season strength program.
It instills that awareness and detail that is often lost in the chaos. Professional players take BP before nearly every game, show up to the stadium before games for positional work and have an in-season workout program - why don't you? Obviously on a smaller scale as baseball is not your full time job, but 1-2x/week is necessary for continued success.
